Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts

The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts is a 600-seat theatre dedicated to providing culturally and artistically diverse experiences to Wickenburg residents and visitors. Music, dance, and theater productions are staged throughout the year.

Desert Caballeros Western Museum

Wickenburg's Desert Caballeros Western Museum offers a comprehensive collection of art and artifacts depicting the American West. The museum's permanent collection includes original artwork created by Western artists, Native American art and artifacts, one of the largest collections of authentic antique cowboy memorabilia spanning from the 1870s to the 1950s, and gems and minerals representative of Wickenburg's rich mining past.

Hassayampa River Preserve

At the Hassayampa River Preserve located just outside Wickenburg, is a haven for bird watching. The Preserve is a riparian habitat that's a safe haven for more than 280 bird species that live, nest or migrate along the wet corridor. The Hassayampa River flows underground for most of its 100-mile course, with the exception of Preserve where water flows year round above the surface. Palm Lake is a four-acre spring-fed pond at the Preserve that attracts water fowl including endangered birds like the southwestern willow flycatcher.

Vulture Peak

The steep Vulture Peak Trail leads to the summit of Vulture Peak at an elevation of 3,660 feet. The two-mile hike offers panoramic views of the Sonoran Desert and the city of Wickenburg below. Carry plenty of water and hike early in the day to avoid hot temperatures.

Wickenburg Country Club

Wickenburg Country Club is recognized as one of the best deals in golf north of Phoenix. With a newly rebuilt clubhouse this course is one of the top in the area. Green frees with a cart are less than $60 for 18 holes. Room and golf packages are available.

Vulture Mine

Vulture Mine was discovered in the 1860s by Henry Wickenburg, for whom the town of Wickenburg is named. Vulture Mine was the highest producing gold mine in the history of Arizona mines. An estimated $200 million worth of gold was mined from Vulture Mine. President Roosevelt closed the mine in 1942. Vulture Mine is open for self-guided tours.
